Raffle tickets for Postcards for Ruby

Raffle tickets for our Postcards for Ruby fundraiser go on sale at 7am on 7th October, which would have been Ruby's 21st birthday.

Every ticket will win an original postcard. We've had an amazing array of postcards donated including pieces by:

  • Master potter Edmund de Waal

  • Children's illustrators Nick Sharratt, Debi Gliori, Jane Ray, Nicola Bayley, Satoshi Kitamura and Helen Oxenbury

  • Artists who featured in Ruby's GCSE art sketchbooks including Brian Alfred, Jeff Nishinaka, Peter Crawley, Janice Wu and Jan Brewerton

  • Celebrities including Dames Emma Thompson and Joanna Lumley, Sir Mark Rylance, Patrick Grant and the cast of Line of Duty.

We've had postcards created on paper, wood, leather, fabric, metal, glass and ceramic. We've been given water colours, oil paintings, pencil sketches, marquetry pieces and collages.

Tickets cost £30 and are capped at the total number of pieces of artwork we have received (335). So you might win a piece by a well known artist, or a piece by one of Ruby's art student friends, or it might be a celebrity who's written her motto & signed it.

Any which way, you'll be helping us to celebrate Ruby's memory and raising much needed funds for childhood cancer research.

If you’re able to collect your postcard, that would be really helpful. They’ll be available to collect from Gipsy Hill, SE19 on either:

  • Saturday 22 October between either 10am - midday or 3-5pm

  • Sunday 23 October between 4-6pm

  • Tuesday 26 October between 7-9pm

If you’re unable to collect, please add a donation of £5 to cover P&P (you’ll be directed to a donation page after buying your raffle ticket). Postcards will be mailed out in batches by recorded delivery. (Please be patient as it may take us a while.)

Please note, your postcard will be a surprise – you will only know what you have won when you collect it or open your post.

All proceeds will go to Ruby's fund with CCLG to support research to find better blood cancer treatments.

You can browse all the postcards and buy your ticket here. Sales close once all 335 tickets have sold or on 18th October at the latest. Good luck!
